The Keeper of the Bees

We had a pretty good book discussion about Keeper of the Bees, despite some of the class not loving the book.  Imagine learning to care about the earth the way that Gene Stratton-Porter obviously did.  

Have you started on Alas Babylon!?  I really love that book and think you'll enjoy it a lot.  It's a pretty good action plot, but really illustrates the need for living Georgically, and all that that entails.  And having salt!

How are your presentations coming?  We've had a couple of good ones and I'm looking forward to the others!

Are you working on building up inventory of the things you plan to sell at our Farmer's Market?  Start now, so that you'll have plenty!  Believe me, the time will sneak up on you.
